⚽ UNO Teams Up with Real Madrid for Global MBA Experience

The Gist: Students at the University of Nebraska Omaha now have the chance to pair their MBA studies with international sports management training through a new partnership with Real Madrid. The program blends online coursework with travel to Spain, where students will meet industry leaders, tour world-famous venues, and gain a global perspective on the business of sports.

🚧 Downtown Omaha Sinkhole Repairs Begin This Fall

The Gist: Work is finally moving forward on the large sinkhole that’s blocked parts of 16th Street since January, when a garbage truck collapsed into the void between two downtown buildings. Recent heavy rains sped up the city’s timeline, and crews will start repairs Sept. 8. Omaha Public Power District must first fix a damaged duct line before the city can repair its sewer, clear debris, and fill the hole.

Why it matters: Expect closures along 16th and 17th Streets through fall, with full repairs targeted by year’s end. Read more here.
