🌉 Baby Bob Bridge Opens in Downtown Omaha

The Gist: Omaha cut the ribbon this week on the Baby Bob pedestrian bridge, a 1,100-foot, 400-ton span linking North Downtown with the Bob Kerrey Bridge and Council Bluffs. First imagined over a decade ago, the $7.5 million project faced delays but now offers a smoother route for walkers and cyclists, connecting trails and downtown attractions.

Why it matters: The Baby Bob strengthens Omaha’s ties to the Missouri River and makes it easier for locals and visitors to explore both sides of the riverfront. Read more here.

Born with a heart as warm as a Nebraska sunset, she’s a growing girl learning the ropes of indoor life, from “sit” to leash walks. She loves romping in the yard, snoozing in her kennel, and is making new dog friends with ease.
